Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is generally categorized as being transactional, niche, or comprehensive. Transactions are generally sub-processes
such as account payables, account receivables, journal, general ledger, order processing, medical transcription, etc. Niche support moves up to support a complete business process
by specialized business services providers such as accounting, human resources, etc. Comprehensive usually thoroughly covers multiple business processes by one of the large Business Services Providers (
BSPs).
Business Process Outsourcing since its inception has been the turf of large business clients. Small, and many medium sized businesses do not have the staff required to develop,
negotiate, and manage the contracts, service level agreements, and other overhead associated with doing business with the large Business Services Providers (BSP
). As a result, business process outsourcing has been practically unavailable to small and some medium sized businesses. For a breakdown on employment by size of businesses see the Statistics about Business Size from the US. Census Bureau.
Rather than having a contract for the support of an entire business process (or multiple processes) over a contractual period of time, each BPO transaction can be a stand-alone
entity. When a process is broken down into its component parts, each transaction (sub-process) becomes much simpler and can be focused on by the appropriate people without the overhead of normal business
process outsourcing to a single provider. So where does support come from at the transactional level?
It comes from the many small and medium sized businesses and the myriad of unemployed individual business professionals and skilled workers which have been released due to corporate downsizing. Certainly more people are involved, but at this level they can be the right people for the right job. As a stand-alone entity a transaction is an inviting proposition for small companies and individual business professionals which have special skills to bring to bear. Most large business services providers are not interested in participating in transactional business process outsourcing and will even try to convince potential clients that such activity is not really business process outsourcing. Transactional business processing places these firms in a constant state of competition, an environment in which they are not comfortable. They prefer engagements which are comprehensive and extend for long contractual periods of time.
The Dynamic Outsourcing System makes transactional business process outsourcing easy, convenient, and very competitive. There are no contracts, service level agreements, or
other overhead associated with them (unless they are desired). As a Requester (the client role in the Dynamic Outsourcing System), you have:
- queue preferences that you can set (if the defaults do not fit your needs) that controls the transaction and bidding process
- instructions for the transaction that you can keep on your PC and upload as part of setting up the transaction (you may also enter or modify the instructions)
- offer price for the transaction that places a cap (maximum price) on the bid prices
- rejection of any transaction work product that does not satisfy you
- rate the Provider (the business service provider role
in the Dynamic Outsourcing System) which performs the transaction work task
The rating of Providers
is a key aspect of the transaction process. It is quick (two clicks of the mouse). Providers are rated by you, as a Requester, on a scale of 1 through 10 where 1 is poor and 10 is excellent. The prime importance of this rating is that in your
queue preferences you can set the minimum average rating
required by a Provider to bid on your transactions. Large businesses generally rate their employees annually; Through the Dynamic Outsourcing System you have the opportunity to rate Providers on everything
they do. What better incentive is there to do the job right the first time? If a Providers average rating drops too low, they are out of work opportunities!
InventionsOnDemand, LLC and the Dynamic Outsourcing System believes strongly in small businesses and the role they play in employment and productivity in America and around the
world. Hopefully, together, many of the worthy unemployed workers can find work-at-home opportunities through the Dynamic Outsourcing System. This would be a win-win
situation for all involved parties.
